The Historic Stage Lighting Collective (HSLC) is a UK-based heritage organisation dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and active understanding of historic stage lighting equipment and techniques. Our work focuses on documenting historic lighting technologies, conserving equipment, and sharing knowledge with practitioners, historians, and enthusiasts.
Where appropriate, historic equipment is not only preserved but demonstrated in context. HSLC maintains a space in which lighting systems can be safely assembled, operated, and explored, allowing techniques and technologies to be properly understood through practical use.
